PR Account Coordinator

About the Role

The ideal candidate is looking for the next step in their career and has 1-4 years of experience in-house, at an agency, or in journalism. This position offers high-growth potential as we are a small team and constantly growing our client base. We are a fully remote agency with people worldwide but headquartered in Los Angeles. This role comes with hands on opportunities but also training as needed. See details below: 

Responsibilities

  • Support in day-to-day admin activities servicing multiple clients
  • Identify opportunities and pitch media
  • Creating key messages, talking points and Q & As around client brands
  • Coordinate networking and outreach to journalists/editors
  • Field journalist queries and media requests
  • Track all media hits, mentions, planned items, and interview requests
  • Research and compile media and podcast lists
  • Manage incoming client requests
  • Update internal databases
  • Coordinate meetings and calls
  • Conduct relevant research and monitor industry trends
  • Identify and coordinate influencer, sponsorship and partnership opportunities
  • Draft social media content and materials
  • Engage on behalf of clients on social media 
  • Support development of blog posts and newsletters on behalf of the agency and clients
  • Researching and managing awards and events lists

Skills

  • Strong writing and communication skills a must
  • Strong organizational, time and project management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and ask questions
  • Proven work experience either as an Account Coordinator or similar role in-house or with a PR agency OR in a newsroom/journalism setting (PR internships considered)
  • Adept at networking and relationship building
  • Consistently strives to provide excellent client service
  • Proactive, positive, and problem-solving attitude
  • Experience with media monitoring and database programs like MuckRack, Critical Mention and Coverage Book a plus
  • BONUS if you are vegan, gluten-free and/or have a personal passion for sustainability

 

1099 contractor, part time to start with option to move into full time. Opportunity to start full-time for the right person.

About the Role

We are looking for people who want to learn more about PR (public relations), social media, influencer marketing, digital media and branding.

We are a fully remote agency with people worldwide but headquartered in Los Angeles. This role comes with hands-on opportunities but also training as needed. Interns will get access to our Founder’s PR Masterclass plus additional training resources. See details below: 

Projects you will get trained on with hands-on portfolio-building opportunities:

  • Support accounts with admin, research, 
  • Support teams with compiling reports and client wins
  • Research and compile media and podcast lists
  • Update internal databases
  • Coordinate and meetings and calls
  • Conduct relevant research and monitor industry trends
  • Research influencer, sponsorship and partnership opportunities
  • Receive training/experience on how to support teams with social media (content creation, engagement etc)
  • Gain experience writing blog posts/industry recaps
  • Researching and managing awards and events lists
